Speaking his mind : Physical education is about encouraging every child and young person to become a lifelong participant in physical activity. In schools, physical education curricula need to be based on the vision that the knowledge, skills and understanding acquired should benefit students throughout their lives and help them thrive in an ever-changing world by enabling them to attain physical and health literacy. The curriculum needs to shift from a content-focused approach to a more skill-based approach, which allows for differentiation of teaching methods/approaches with modification of lessons according to a student’s readiness, interest and learning preference, ultimately, helping them to reach their full potential.I provide my support and encouragement to Revolution Sports team in their efforts to build a strong foundation of Physical Education & Physical Literacy in India having understood its need through the global research projects undertaken variously for IOC, ICSSPE & UNESCO. Good Luck!
